Ke holds a Master's degree in Architecture from Delft University of Technology (Technische Universiteit Delft), the Netherlands. After graduation, he worked in the Netherlands and obtained his Dutch registered architect qualification. He has over 15 years of professional experience across Europe and China. Architecture is underpinned by politics, economy and culture; it is a complex service system rather than merely a built object. Its inherent public nature defines the architect as an observer and translator — synthesising the diverse needs of the times, society and humanity, and conveying care to individuals through the built form. In his design practice, grounding himself in the present and responding to real needs is his core approach, while "functionality" and "contextuality" are the design principles that run through all his work. In every project, he takes an objective stance, respecting and responding to the unique social, urban, economic and cultural context. Through rigorous analysis and synthesis, he reconciles diverse viewpoints and needs, creating architecture that is rooted in the present yet looks to the future.
