Samuele Martelli Attends the 5th Hospitality Philippines Conference on 25 – 26 October

In late October, Samuele Martelli, Interior Design Senior Associate Director was invited to attend the 5th Hospitality Philippines Conference 2022 at Marriott Manila on 25 – 26 October.

In the panel session, New Design Paradigms: Urban Resorts and City Hotels”, Samuele joined talented design experts and discussed the two main topics:

• Which cities in the Philippines are excellent urban resort locations and what sustainability concepts work best?

• Would there be components of planning, architecture and interior pointers to make the experiences of the long-staying guests better?

Samuele discussed key design trends in hospitality, focusing on giving guests an experience that truly reflects the spirit of their destination, particularly in urban resorts and city hotels. Furthermore, Samuele shared key urban issues and our involvement in award-winning projects such as Singapore’s Terminal 4 Changi Airport and Jewel, Thailand’s Icon Siam, as well as other mixed-use development projects across the Asia Pacific region.

Samuele commented:
The sensory experience goes a long way. Not only are hotel rooms and spaces expanded through large decks and terraces, but rich urbanism and nature are brought inside in every possible way. Multiple glazed designs, wood panelling and lush greenery are some of the elements employed to help release the tension of guests.”

The event attracted industry contributors in Tourism and Hospitality Communities in Asia and brought over 300 Government Bodies, Real Estate Leaders, Financing Communities, Project Owners, Hotel Groups and Independent Hotels, Architects and Interior Designers, Consultants, Suppliers and Vendors to explore new investment opportunities and establish business partnerships.
