Komal DattaDivisional Director, IndiaMumbai

Komal has over 16 years of international architectural experience spanning a breadth of projects. These range from large-scale mixed-use and retail design in Europe and India to multi-speciality hospitals in the USA and urban design and regeneration schemes in India. Komal joined the Benoy London office in 2007 and later moved to Mumbai. She previously conducted research in urbanisation, housing and real estate and published articles in the Indian press. Komal was a member of the World Bank Institute’s joint design workshop with MIT Design Studio and City Corporation of Thimphu, developing urban growth alternatives for the Thimphu urban area in Bhutan. Other projects have included Supernova, a pioneering new mixed-use development in Noida, Northern India and Falcon City, the centrepiece of wider plans for the regeneration of Bangalore’s historic Khoday Brewery
