Landscape Architecture

We treat landscape as the fabric of a place, designing it to connect neighbourhoods, sustain ecosystems, moderate heat and manage water.

Capabilities

We are constantly inspired by the world around us. We look for opportunities to introduce elements of spontaneity and curiosity into the built environment that are inherent in the natural world. Landscape shapes whether a place thrives in different climates and weather conditions over time. We prioritise resilience, selecting plant species, material palettes, movement networks and water strategies to suit future conditions.

Our work is practical before it’s philosophical, sitting at the intersection of conservation and creation, and underpinned by UN Sustainable Development Goals and Paris Agreement targets. We look for opportunities to introduce the spontaneity and curiosity of the natural world into the built environment, at every scale from a city district to a public park, plaza or playground.

Capabilities

Shade in the right places, at the right hours. Surfaces that don’t become unwalkable in midday sun. Drainage that copes with a storm, not just the average rainfall. Tree cover that reduces the heat island effect. Through all these methods and more, we implement nature-based solutions that protect urban environments from floods, drought and extreme heat.

Access to green space improves mental and physical health, and makes public space feel safer and more inclusive. Beyond its social benefits, green infrastructure helps businesses attract and retain tenants, it supports hotels and resorts in offering something guests remember, and it turns streets into places families use. Regardless of the context, our goal is to create environments where people want to stay and return to.
