Challenge
Positioned as the heartbeat of a bay, the resort is designed to be a lively, vibrant destination for a range of guests and visitors, from yachters to families. The scheme includes multiple outlets and functions, including boutique fashion, lifestyle and wellness, as well as restaurants, and luxury retail. It will also support facilities for one and two story linked streets, which will add a sense of surprise and intrigue.
Solution
The design team responded by creating a series of integrated, multi-level retail and F&B ‘streets’, which enabled us to reduce the land take of the development quantum, while also creating an intimate and layered consumer experience.
The design includes an Organic Farm and the Wellness Route to enhance the arrival experience, contributing to the overall appeal and vibrancy of the waterside location.
Result
The submission reached the short-list of an international architecture competition.
