Challenge

The team needed to develop a sophisticated new food court concept for a traditional mall; and to connect in a unified, cohesive layout, the existing mall with a newly built residential development and shopping area through an already-built circulation path.

Solution

The designers envisioned a new food & retail concept around a social gathering place in an upscale metropolitan centre. The design concept is based on effortless elegance with neutrals hues, accents of greenery, clean geometric lines and authentic materials evoking the contrast of nature and city. A more defined and polished tenant design criteria, particular attention to food presentation, and use of quality materials, reflect the urban setting of this new food destination.

Result

The 19-tenant eatery is bathed in natural light and buzzing with activity at lunchtime. In the evening, TABLES is a vibrant social destination with a diverse dining selection. The high energy circulation path creates a culinary journey that connects retail, residential, outdoor shopping, and public event spaces.
