Benoy was tasked with designing the architecture and interior of a large-scale, multi-lifestyle destination. Set within the popular city of Hanam near some of Korea’s tourist hotspots, the complex needed to attract and easily accommodate high volumes of shoppers and visitors.
Distinguishing three key markets, families, teenagers and high-end shoppers, we designed a space with distinctive areas that suited these audiences. To accommodate the wide-ranging facilities, we spread the complex over four floors.
Starfield Hanam is now one of the largest shopping centres in the country. It hosts retail, leisure, food and beverage, cultural and entertainment facilities, and has over 5,400 parking spaces, most of which are at basement level. Set beside an expansive lake and sweeping mountains, it is a key tourist destination.
