The Mercedes-AMG World of Performance is a flagship destination at the heart of Qiddiya City – one of Saudi Arabia’s most ambitious and high-profile developments under its Vision 2030 project. Situated alongside the Speed Park Track — set to become one of the longest and fastest racing circuits in the world — the Mercedes-AMG World of Performance will set a global benchmark for immersive, motorsport-inspired destinations. Benoy’s role includes architectural design of the building and full interior design and experiential design of the experiences within, collaborating with our consultant partners (RWS). All of this sits within the public realm masterplan for Motorsport Park that Benoy have also designed, alongside the placemaking vision for the scheme.
Spanning an impressive 45,000 m² across nine floors, the centre will feature over 20 cutting-edge attractions and exhibits, engaging audiences of all ages and creating a new typology for brand experiences and entertainment in the region. The design fuses the dynamism of motorsport with architectural storytelling to deliver a place of exploration, interaction, and cultural engagement.
Sitting against a backdrop of Saudi Arabia’s dramatic Tuwaiq Mountains, the project centres around a dynamic angular structure, evoking the energy, movement, and spirit of motorsport. Housing simulators, theatres, rides and exhibitions, the nine-storey structure will act as the central hub for a deep-dive into the brand’s rich history. Maximising the site’s potential to create a new destination beyond the attractions, a series of places to dwell, socialise and dine will activate the area, delivering an ambitious new part of the city.
