WEAVE at Resorts World Sentosa celebrates Singapore Tourism Awards 2026 win
WEAVE at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), Singapore, received the Outstanding Retail Experience award at the Singapore Tourism Awards 2026.
The Awards celebrate the individuals and organisations elevating Singapore’s tourism sector with nine businesses recognised for reimagining the customer experience and taking an innovative approach to service excellence across the Leisure and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industries.
WEAVE was recognised for its distinctive lifestyle enclave bringing together retail, dining and nature. As the first completed element of the RWS 2.0 transformation, it reimagines the former Forum at RWS as a 20,000 m² lifestyle retail and dining destination across three interconnected levels. The existing structure was retained and reimagined, an adaptive reuse approach which aligns with RWS’s commitment to becoming carbon neutral by 2030.
Despite Sentosa Island’s proximity to the mainland, the key objective with WEAVE was to transcend this closeness, sculpting a sense of ‘island life’ which transports visitors to a faraway realm. By integrating elements that evoke a genuine ‘getaway’ feeling, the landscape aims to create a sanctuary, allowing guests to disconnect from the mainland and immerse themselves in the captivating allure of WEAVE.
The project transformed the former retail area, connecting Universal Studios Singapore, the Singapore Oceanarium and the upcoming waterfront complex. The scheme doubles its predecessor’s footprint and introduces over 40 premium brands, including a series of lifestyle villas configured for flagship stores and signature labels.
Curved shaded paths, layered landscaping, deep canopies and three green pavilions integrate retail, leisure and community space. The canopy and porous façades reduce solar gain, lower ambient temperatures, and improve airflow, delivering measurable improvements in ETTV performance compared with the original scheme, with abundant greenery serving both a psychological and a thermal function.
