Construction progresses on The Ritz-Carlton, Tashkent

The first floors of The Ritz-Carlton, Tashkent are now in place, marking vertical progress on what will be Uzbekistan’s first ultra-luxury hotel. The 136-metre mixed-use tower has been designed by Benoy for PASHA Real Estate Group, with Marriott International appointed as operator on completion.

Site works began in October 2024 with piling and retaining wall installation. With foundations, reinforcement and slab now in place across the lower four floors, structural works will continue toward a target topping out date of March 2027. The wider development is scheduled for completion in March 2028.

The design draws on the geometric traditions of Tashkent’s architectural heritage, expressed through a steel exoskeleton of vertical fins that shape the façade and provide solar shading. The tower will deliver 140 hotel keys and 153 residential apartments, with hotel amenities housed in a substantial podium that includes a grand ballroom, meeting suites, a spa, and indoor and outdoor pools overlooking the adjacent park. A rooftop restaurant and bar on the 23rd floor completes the hospitality offer.

Benoy’s scope covers architecture, masterplan and landscape for the scheme, which was named Best Mixed-Use Architecture at the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2025.
