Benoy secures triple win at MIPIM Asia Awards 2025
Benoy celebrates a remarkable achievement at MIPIM Asia Awards 2025, securing three prestigious accolades for projects in Singapore, Taiwan and Wuhan.
• Taichung D‑ONE, Taiwan – Silver Award for Best New Mega Development
• 18 Cross, Singapore – Bronze Award for Best Urban Regeneration Project
• Wuhan Alibaba Centre, China – Bronze Award for Best Mixed-Use Project
Gregory Kovacs, Design Director, said: “We’re honoured to receive this award for 18 Cross, a project which exemplifies our commitment to thoughtful urban regeneration. Transforming this once-disconnected site into a lively community hub demonstrates the importance of cultivating a renewed sense of place. This recognition highlights our broader vision of reintegrating the building within its social, cultural, and economic context.”
Regarding Taichung D‑ONE, Teri Tsang, Director and Hong Kong Studio Head, commented: “This mega-development marks a pivotal milestone for Central Taiwan. We are committed to designing a sustainable future that draws inspiration from the natural landscape while deeply embedding local culture into the fabric of our project. By prioritising placemaking, we create spaces that invite people to engage, explore, and immerse themselves in their experiences. Qin Pang, Director and Head of Shanghai Studio, on the Wuhan Alibaba Centre: “The MIPIM Asia Awards marks yet another recognition of our experimental attempt at architectural typologies in the Wuhan Alibaba Center. This project shows that the artificial division of architectural functions does not mean there must be clear physical boundaries between them. A great commercial complex is a three-dimensional, condensed and boundaryless extension of streets, parks, art centers and public spaces. How to conveniently guide people in, interestingly attract them, warmly retain them, and safely allow them to relax is an equation we have been striving to solve, and this award suggests we might have just cracked it.”
