Benoy had a wonderful opportunity to participate in the RIBA Hong Kong Chapter’s Future Architects Forums earlier this September. Teri Tsang, Director and Head of the Hong Kong Studio, and Gregory Kovcas, Design Director, took on the role of mentors for the event.
These forums aimed to support architecture students as they make the leap into professional practice, bringing together 50 mentors from various design firms. Over 200 students engaged in small group discussions, gaining valuable perspectives from the mentors.
Gregory attended the forum at HKU SPACE on September 1, while Teri joined the discussions at Hong Kong Design Institute on September 5. Six key topics were covered to help graduates prepare for their careers, including “transitioning into practice,” “sustainability & resilience,” “conservation & adaptive reuse,” yes“BIM/AI”, etc. The students were eager to dive into conversations about the realities of working as architects.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the RIBA Hong Kong Chapter and Professor Dr. Ruffina Thilakaratne for inviting us to be part of such a meaningful event. It is a pleasure to help graduates explore their future career paths.
At Benoy, we are committed to nurture the next generation of talents in the industry and provide strong support for their professional journeys.
