Panel Discussion
Azaria Lee, Benoy’s Project Director, was invited to speak at a panel discussion during the 74th FIABCI World Real Estate Congress in Singapore on May 29, 2024. Entitled “Architecture Excellence and the Changing Façade of Design Globally,” the discussion gathered experts to explore the evolving landscape of architectural design.
Moderated by Luca Bigliardi, the panel included Arrizky Magetsari and James Law, who collectively examined the future of architectural design and its implications for the real estate sector.
Designing with Impact
Azaria’s presentation, “Designing with Impact,” highlighted the crucial role of sustainable design principles in fulfilling people’s needs and aspirations while positively impacting communities amid Singapore’s unique environmental challenges.
She showcased the Cross Street Redevelopment project as a leading example of innovative adaptive reuse, seamlessly integrating old and new elements to transform underperforming developments into vibrant destinations. Through this project, Azaria illustrated how sustainability can drive urban renewal and meet societal demands.
Additionally, she shared insights about the Benoy Singapore Studio, emphasising its people-centric design approach and positive user impact while advocating for more inclusive and sustainable design practices.
The Congress Theme: Real Estate Business in the New Environment
The 74th FIABCI World Real Estate Congress, themed “Real Estate Business in the New Environment,” convened industry experts and professionals worldwide from May 27 to 31, 2024. Attendees included Presidents from various FIABCI chapters, their Secretary Generals, and other delegates, spanning architects, valuers, brokers, developers, consultants, educators, and other real estate professionals.
