Zhangjiang L+Mall is a large-scale commercial complex developed by Lujiazui Group, spanning approximately 166,000 m2 in total construction area.
To showcase the distinctive features and diverse business offerings of the commercial complex, Benoy designed a multi-purpose commercial showroom for Lujiazui Commercial. This featured space serves as an exhibition area, recreation space, conference room and meeting room, located at Zhongke Road (near Xuelin Road Station on Shanghai Metro line 13). With expansive windows providing a panoramic view of the city, the showroom offers a breathtaking experience.
The spatial design concept closely aligns with Zhangjiang’s unique science and technology theme. Innovation serves as the core, integrating the design concepts of science and technology, art, nature and social interaction to create a versatile, mixed-use showroom. Dynamic streamlined forms and green elements weave through the space, imparting a modern and technological ambiance consistent with the design concept of the site’s overall design. Visitors are led to embark on a unique and futuristic journey of discovery.
Upon entering the showroom, visitors are greeted by a natural and spacious reception area. A grille provides a glimpse of the model exhibition space behind, which houses the model table and a moving model display wall. Dynamic yet tranquil elements such as corrugated reflective stainless steel on the ceiling and GRG forms on the walls craft a space that exudes both sleekness and high-tech sophistication.
The linear shape of the ceiling in the public area, created using translucent acrylic with a light champagne-coloured anodised aluminium base plate, lends an elegant feel to the space. This design is carried through to the conference area, where the flow of curved lines and natural elements echo the ceiling’s form. The thoughtful combination of materials and colours infuses the entire conference area with a vibrant and futuristic atmosphere.
The conference room area, situated in the center of the space, features curved glass with dynamic curved lines, frosted film, mirrors, and recessed light strips. This design fosters a high-end business ambiance while providing privacy during meetings.
