Eight Benoy Projects Recognised with Platinum, Gold and Silver Awards
Benoy took an active role in the 2023 Lujiazui Urban Design Day series, participating in both the 2023 Future Low Carbon Innovation and Sustainability Forum and the REARD awards ceremony held on 16 November.
Hosted by REARD and the Lujiazui Administration Bureau and spearheaded by the Lujiazui Financial City Development Bureau of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Administration, the event commenced at Lujiazui Fintech Industrial Park. The opening ceremony attracted diverse academic experts and practitioners, setting the stage for a collective journey towards a sustainable, low-carbon, and green future.
The action-packed day kicked off with the 2023 Future Low Carbon Innovation and Sustainable Development Forum, followed by the 16th Lujiazui Financial City Culture Festival – 2023 Lujiazui City Exhibition, with the 8th REARD Global Design Awards ceremony taking place in the afternoon. This year’s design awards witnessed 634 entries submitted from across the globe, with a mere 3% receiving the platinum award.
Representing the Asia Pacific team, Benoy Shanghai Associate Director Shi Bo, Associate Director Ma Liyuan, Senior Architect Chengsheng Jiang, Senior Architect Xu Ke, and Senior Marketing Manager of China Huang Yifan graced the event and collected the awards.

The overarching theme of the event delved into the prevailing issues of today – specifically, low carbon, IT, and digitalisation.
Going beyond design and real estate industries, the discussions centered on cross-sector experiences and future trajectories. The aim was to inspire the audience and the broader community with constructive and forward-thinking insights.
The event was organised by the Lujiazui Financial City Development Bureau of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Administration and supported by the Lujiazui Administration Bureau.
Representatives from various organisations, including Shanghai Center for Energy Saving and Emission Reduction, New York University Shanghai, Time+Architecture Magazine, Cushman & Wakefield, CITIC Pacific, Radiance Group and ACR Asset Management, converged to contribute to the enriching discourse.
