Benoy and Uncommon Land participate as Silver Sponsor

Benoy and Uncommon Land actively participated as Silver Sponsor at the ULI Asia Pacific Summit, held from 29 May to 1 June 2023 at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia in Singapore. The four-day event centred around the global challenges and opportunities faced by the built environment and featured engaging study tours and networking activities at multiple locations.

The Summit gathered over 500 senior decision makers from APAC and across the globe, providing an invaluable platform to gain commercial insights, explore design best practices, and engage in discussions about progressive strategies for urban transformation.

Joining the Summit this year, the Benoy leadership team included Terence Seah, Director and Head of Hong Kong, Singapore, and Shenzhen; Rayvees Goh, Director of Uncommon Land; Azaria Lee, Senior Associate Director and Singapore Studio Lead; Teri Tsang, Director and Hong Kong Studio Lead; Maybelyne Ng, Head of Marketing & Communications APAC; and Samuele Martelli, Interior Design Senior Associate Director.

Placemaking Forum – Panel Session: Multi-Generational Spaces

Day 2 of the Summit featured a series of inspiring and insightful Forums with fresh perspectives on what goes into placemaking and sought solutions for creating healthy, green, and socially sustainable communities. One highlight was the Placemaking Forum,” where Teri Tsang led the panel session on Multi-Generational Spaces” as the moderator.

Teri passionately shed light on the significance of reimagining Asian cities through the lens of developing and nurturing multi-generational spaces.

Teri stated, Building multi-generational spaces that withstand the test of time is crucial for fostering lasting connections and nurturing a sense of belonging across diverse communities. Recognizing the aging demographic in Asian cities, it becomes increasingly crucial to reimagine our urban landscapes, including public spaces, to better address these differing needs.”

Joining Teri on the panel were esteemed panellists, including Dr. Emi Kiyota, Deputy Executive Director of the Centre for Population Health at the National University of Singapore; Albert Chan, Director of Development Planning and Design at Shui on Land; and Chee Huang Seah, CEO of DP Architects.

Leadership Dinner

On the evening of Day 2, the ULI Leadership Dinner took place at CHIJMES, providing an intimate setting for industry leaders to connect and share their perspectives. Among the prominent attendees were Terence Seah, Rayvees Goh, and Teri Tsang from the leadership team. The leadership gathering brought together selected senior executives from across the globe to discuss the key takeaways and the future of the real estate sector, touching upon a wide range of topics including resilient and inclusive design, social equity, and sustainability.

The Benoy + Uncommon Land Botany Table”

On Day 3 of the ULI Asia Pacific Summit, Benoy and Uncommon Land showcased their booth at the Grand Galleria at the Ritz Carlton Singapore. The booth provided a glimpse into cutting-edge multidisciplinary architectural, biophilic, and sustainable concepts.

At the heart of the booth was the captivating Botany Table,” designed by Bartosz Majchrzycki, Senior Associate Director of Landscape Architecture at Uncommon Land. This installation embodied our vision of seamlessly integrating nature into the urban fabric, blending botanical and organic design elements with functional social spaces. It symbolized our commitment to sustainability and enhancing the human experience through a connection with nature.

Throughout the drinks reception, the booth became a hub where clients had engaging conversations and thought-provoking discussions, allowing visitors to exchange ideas and envision greener, more inclusive cities at our space.

Benoy and Uncommon Land extend our gratitude to ULI Asia Pacific for a successful event. We eagerly anticipate further engagement in shaping cities, pushing boundaries, and reimagining possibilities through innovative architecture and landscape design.
