Winner — Best Mixed Use Architectural Design (Mainland China) — CRL MixC Qianhai
The China Resources Qianhai Center project is located in the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Services Cooperation Zone, and the development unit 2 02 neighbourhood in the southern core of the Guiwan Business Center District. The project parcel has a total land area of 6.18 hectares, a total area of construction of 5.39 hectares, a capacity of the building area of 503,000 square meters, and will be developed as a high-end shopping centre, international business apartments, super-Grade A office buildings and ultra-five-star hotels as one of the large-scale high-end urban complex projects.
Winner — Best Bespoke Commercial Interior Design (Hong Kong and Macau) — Benoy Hong Kong Studio
The new Hong Kong Studio is located on the 19th floor of Tower 535 in the heart of Causeway Bay in Hong Kong Island, the city’s bustling retail, F&B and commercial district. The new studio is over 6,600 sq ft and has been thoughtfully designed with various activity-based spaces and will eventually accommodate all the Handley House brands. The 64 workstations and project and material libraries are towards the west and south facades overlooking the cityscape and facing Hysan Place, one of Benoy’s prestigious projects in Hong Kong. The multifunctional LOFT space can be reconfigured to be used as a break-out and casual meeting space on typical days, or to house staff events, lectures, public receptions, exhibitions and workshops — it is a space to engage both with our staff and the much wider professional community spanning from students to international clients.
Highly Commended — Best Retail Architectural Design (Mainland China) — Suzhou Joy Breeze
Suzhou Joy Breeze is the first commercial project built by COFCO’s subsidiary, Grandjoy Holdings Group, in southern Jiangsu, and is the company’s first step in establishing themselves in the region. The scheme is located in Xiangcheng District, the new centre of Suzhou. Suzhou Joy Breeze is intended to be the flagship project in the Joy Breeze product line and is anticipated to become the next commercial landmark with a significant brand identity.
