On 22 – 23 November, the “REARD Awards” ceremony and series of awards were held in Shanghai. On 22 November, at the opening ceremony for the 7th REARD Global Real Estate Design Awards and the Lujiazui Urban Design Day, seven of Benoy’s Asia-Pacific projects received two Platinum Awards, two Gold Awards and three Silver Awards.
This year’s REARD Global Real Estate Design Awards attracted a total of 1058 entries, with only 14 and 59 projects to receive the Platinum Awards and Gold Awards respectively. The Benoy team attended the awards ceremony, represented by Tang Wei and Zhang Liang, Project Directors, Xu Chunming, Deputy Director, Zheng Huijin, Architectural designer, and Huang Yifan, China Senior Marketing Manager.

Silver Award:
•Wuhan Huafa Zhongcheng Shangdu (Commercial Planning & Design — Completed)
• David Jones Elizabeth Street Flagship Store (Commercial Interior Design — Completed)
• Hanoi Mall (Commercial Planning & Design — Under Construction)

The “Lujiazui Urban Design Day” is managed by the Lujiazui Administration Bureau and co-hosted by the Xinhua News Agency — China Financial Information Center, REARD and platform focusing on urban renewal (www.renewal-zone.com/). With Lujiazui as the key to future development, it will work towards the goal of “design-enabled urban renewal for enhanced urban value” and will be part of urban renewal in the Yangtze River Delta region and the revitalisation of state-owned assets.
The two-day REARD Awards ceremony and series of awards also featured the launch of a new book, “Case Studies and Analysis of Better Urban Design”, the launching ceremony of Lujiazui Urban Design Day, and the joint venue for Shanghai Jing’an International Design Festival 2022: Young Designers Dialogue and REARD Awards Ceremony— The REARD Youth Designers’ City Renewal Mission and Special Dialogue on Urban Renewal were held at the China Financial Information Center in Lujiazui. Respected industry figures gathered at the China Financial Information Center to praise the achievements of REARD, explore new ideas, analyse trends and make collective progress.
