Benoy attends the CREDAWARD Awards Ceremony
On 23 September 2022, urban planners and designers from China and overseas gathered at the Jing’an Shangri-La Hotel in Shanghai for the 8th CREDAWARD (China Real Estate & Design Award) Awards Gala “New Dream·Su” (shorthand for Supreme).
Benoy’s Shanghai Project Director, Tang Wei, and Senior Marketing Manager, Huang Yifan, represented the company at the ceremony to receive awards.
Benoy’s three projects received awards in different categories:
• CRL MixC Qianhai, Shenzhen was awarded the Silver Award for Mixed-use in the Commercial Office Project category.
• Shanghai Mangoohub was awarded the Merit Award for Headquarters / Industrial Park in the Commercial Office Project category.
• Raffles City The Bund, Shanghai was awarded the Merit Award for Shopping Mall in the Interior Design category.
This year’s awards received 1,353 applications from 15 countries and regions, and 549 entries were shortlisted. Nearly 400 guest speakers showcased their shortlisted entries over the 2 days of intense presentation to compete for this year’s Gold and Silver Awards. Under the fierce global competition, the 8th CREDAWARD has a winning rate of 31.07% for the Merit Award, 4.66% for the Silver Award and 4.51% for the Gold Award.
Being established for 8 years, the best projects selected at the CREDAWARD demonstrates high industry standards and social significance. The projects reflect the uniqueness of recent developments and diversity in the industry, as well as the breadth of projects and their value and influence. The CREDAWARD is not just an academic industry award. It recognises the best of the best in the regions’ designers from the real estate industry’s perspective. In addition to focusing on the environment and architectural aesthetics, the awards also pay close attention to user experience and economic benefits.
The Chinese character “Su”(甦) used at this year’s Awards Gala holds a special significance. In Chinese, “Su” means recovery and rebirth. We hope that our city, the industry and the planet will make a similar recovery after the pandemic. Renewal comes with rebirth; bringing a new life and working cooperatively to forge the spirit of design for a new era. Su is also a shorthand for the word “Supreme”, which offers another level of interpretation to the name of the ceremony. Urban planners, architects and designers have all contributed to producing the highest quality of work.
Congratulations to all winners and best wishes to CREDAWARD for the future.
