Rayvees Goh, Director of Benoy’s sister business Uncommon Land, and Nina Noor, Senior Associate Director at Benoy, attended the 5th Hospitality Vietnam Conference on 5 – 6 October, held at Hotel Equatorial Ho Chi Minh City.
The event attracts industry contributors in Tourism and Hospitality Communities in Asia. It aims to provide a unique platform for hospitality professionals to keep abreast with the industry trends, gain insights, exchange ideas as well as to forge partnerships.
Rayvees spoke at the panel session“Guest Experience — Elevating the Luxury Guest Experience in Resort Properties”.
He shared that the ability to respond to changing situations and staying up-to-date with customers’ needs plays a big part in creating the luxury experiences that resonates with the guests.
Furthermore, Rayvees outlined four ways of going the extra mile to deliver the guest experience through design:
· Sustainability — Apart from the environment,“sustainability” covers economic and social aspects as well. Incorporating Sustainability strategy early in the design can make a tremendous difference across many aspects including the actual viability of the development itself
· Authenticity – A complete and genuine experience through design, local cultural, lifestyle, local arts, and other experiential elements
· Biophilic Design – Incorporating nature into the resorts, local & natural materials, new way of experiencing and connecting with nature, etc
· — Use of technology — In order for technology to be something that elevates the sense of luxury, it should be seamlessly designed, ultra-user friendly and highly intuitive
A luxury product goes beyond the basic needs of the user, and appeals to the emotions and the higher aspirations. A true luxury resort is a complete package interweaving the visuals with experiences, in a compelling package that tells a story that the guest is a part of, enjoyed over a period of time, preferably even beyond the stay.
