Benoy + Future Series — The Gender-positive City

‘Women and girls are often the ​‘forgotten occupants’ of urban design and master planning. Their experiences of cities and public realm is undeniably different.’

As part of our new ​‘Benoy + Futures’ series, we’ll be exploring how we can create inclusive spaces for empowerment and connection. We’ll be looking at 

• What needs to be done to make women, girls feel safe, contribute and be empowered

• How we can promote participation and engagement

• How we can make our towns and cities more accessible through better and more inclusive design standards

• How we can design for non-binary, transgender and other blurred gender groups
