For more than two decades, Benoy has been winning, designing and delivering in Asia, and as we begin our 21st year in the region, we are reinforcing our strength in Asia by accelerating growth across four design hubs: Hong Kong, Singapore, Shenzhen and Shanghai. Each studio will share the same commitment to deliver economic success, social wellbeing and environmental sustainability through their design solutions for clients.
To enable this evolution, Terence Seah has been promoted to Head of Hong Kong, Singapore and Shenzhen. He will work in partnership with Qin Pang who will continue to lead the Shanghai studio.
Terence joined Benoy in 2014. Having studied and practiced in Singapore, China and the UK, Terence has had exposure to a diverse portfolio across Asia, Australia, the Middle East and the UK. He speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese. A UK qualified architect and designer at heart, Terence’s work includes Jewel Changi Airport, Singapore; Subang Jaya City Centre, Malaysia; Raffles City, Shenzhen, China and David Jones, Sydney, Australia.
Based in Hong Kong, Terence will work with the Directors there to establish a broader, more internationally focused offering to include research, landscape and environmental graphics. Singapore will continue to focus on mixed-use and experiential design for South-East Asia, building on the success of critical projects such as Jewel. Shenzhen will become a fully operational Greater Bay design studio from February and will put us at the heart of a community of clients in southern China.
As Head of APAC, Trevor Vivian will focus more exclusively on client engagement across the region and draw on his 40 years’ of global design experience in the region to support Terence and Qin in their leadership of the studios, teams and future vision.
