Benoy are pleased to announce that our recently completed project, Sanya CDF Mall II in Hainan, China, has been awarded Best Retail Development at the 2020 MIPIM Asia Awards.
The annual MIPIM Asia Awards celebrates excellence and innovation amongst the very best of the Asian real estate industry and honours the most oustanding and accomplished projects across Asia-Pacific. Winners were selected from over 110 entries across 10 countries in APAC by an esteemed jury of senior real estate leaders.

Our vision was to create a world-class destination in Haitang, China which marries experiential retail, entertainment and leisure into a comprehensive development that delivers economic, social and environmental benefits for our client and the wider community.”
Sanya CDF Mall II is located in Hainan province, which is poised to become China’s largest special economic zone focusing on trade and investment liberalization. The project features a large variety of lush greenery and blue waterways, celebrating the surrounding landscape and multi-layered environments. Visually inspiring and proudly distinctive in design, Sanya CDF Mall II is a truly unique destination that sets a defining benchmark for design in the region.
This year, the MIPIM Asia Awards Forum will take place in-person on 15th December at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, and also online for free, allowing participants from all over the world to meet MIPIM Asia Awards jury and finalists, vote for their favorite projects and learn from key success stories from bellwethers in Asia.
