Gregory Kovacs speculates on the potential futures of Smart Cities

Benoy’s Gregory Kovacs speculates on the potential futures of smart cities, in a new article he has written for APAC CIOOutlook Magazine.

In the article, Gregory questions what we may expect from smart cities beyond the much-needed optimization of our existing urban infrastructures.

For example, the article explores how smart city technologies may create opportunities to fix some of our long lasting modern urban problems, while potentially creating new ones in exchange.

The article also examines whether a joined-up design incorporating both the digital and physical realms can lead to a different understanding of the public and private spheres, thus generating a new type of social cohesion.
