A message from our CEO, Tom Cartledge.
As the CEO of Handley House, overseeing three amazing design teams in Benoy, Holmes Wood and Uncommon Land, I am proud to celebrate the women of these businesses. The theme for this years’ International Women’s Day is “Balance for Better” which is incredibly important in our sector. As architects and designers, we strive to create spaces that are targeted towards a diverse set of users and they should be served by a profession that is equally as diverse in its views and practices.
As a historically male-dominated industry, we remain committed to enhancing diversity and inclusion across all organisational levels. Collectively we have the opportunity to lead by example and we will never stop striving for balance, for the better.
To this end, I am pleased to confirm that in April, we will be publishing our UK gender pay data. Although we are not obliged to do so under the current UK Gender Pay Gap Reporting regulations, we feel strongly that it is the right thing to do and illustrates our support for women in business. Our aim is to move to global reporting thereafter.
