RIBA East Midlands Mentoring Scheme with Benoy

ss Wilkinson and Matt McCreith from the Benoy Newark Studio took a group of students from Nottingham Trent University and the University of Nottingham up to the Centre for Biomolecular Sciences expansion project to give them a taste of life as architects.

The trip was part of Benoy’s involvement in the RIBA East Midlands Mentoring Scheme where 3rd year undergraduate students are partnered with an architectural practice over a four month period and get the chance to see what being an architect involves.

This was a great opportunity for the students to see a live project on site — the project is midway through the construction process and through Jess, who’s been involved with it from the start, the students were able to hear firsthand how a complex building like this comes together.” Matt McCreith, Benoy
