The historic TSUM department store is undergoing a transformation. The latest refurbishment and rooftop extension will create a signature destination for the heart of Kiev, the capital city of Ukraine.
Constructed in 1939, and extended in 1956, the current renovation will modernise the interior whilst preserving the character and identity of the original building.
Externally, Benoy's designs will celebrate the building's heritage. Internally, they will deliver a vibrant 21st century retail and dining environment.
The sympathetic restoration of the façade will complement the contemporary reworking of the interior.
The new rooftop restaurant and terrace will afford grand views over the city's famous Khreshchatyk Street below.
The project is set to complete and officially open in December 2016.
