With over 40 years of experience as an architect, urban designer, and masterplanner, Simon is one of Benoy’s most senior and widely travelled designers. He has worked across most of the practice’s global studios and contributed to many of Benoy’s best-known projects, including the Yas Island Masterplan in Abu Dhabi, The Beach in Dubai, and MediaCity UK in Manchester. Alongside his role as a hands-on design leader, Simon advises on design review, design quality, and Benoy’s ‘creative kick-off’ process. He has been a pioneer of mixed-use developments throughout his career and is regularly involved in the research and assessment of new typologies for urban living. He led the Benoy team on a study for Canary Wharf Group exploring a new model for a sustainable central business district on sites in China.
