Challenge

We were briefed to design a unique building that would be a striking blend of modern innovation and cultural reverence, offering an unforgettable experience for visitors while integrating seamlessly with the surrounding historical context.

Solution

The building’s design is centred around three carefully planned courtyards, strategically positioned to maximise breathtaking views of the pyramids, offering visitors an unparalleled experience. These courtyards don’t just frame the landscape — they engage multiple senses, providing a journey that stimulates sight, smell, and even sound. The building’s form itself is a bold and striking design that thoughtfully pays homage to the local history and draws the inspiration from the ancient structures nearby, specifically the Giza Pyramids. The use of locally inspired materials ties the structure to its historical surroundings, creating a sense of continuity between the ancient and the contemporary.

Result

The overall result of this project is the creation of a truly iconic landmark that seamlessly blends modern architectural innovation with the rich cultural heritage of Egypt. Positioned to offer unparalleled, uninterrupted views of the pyramids and in close proximity to the new Grand Egyptian Museum, the building becomes more than just a hotel — it transforms into an immersive, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
