Uncommon Land bolsters APAC presence with key leadership hires

With the expansion of our sister business, Uncommon Land, into Asia Pacific, we are delighted to welcome Rayvees Goh and Bartosz Majchrzycki to lead Uncommon Land’s continued growth in the region.

Uncommon Land is an internationally focussed landscape architecture and urban design practice. With studios in Europe and Asia and projects across Europe, Americas, the Middle East and Asia, Uncommon Land is a collective of landscape architects, architects and urban designers who are passionate about creating beautiful, inclusive and sustainable spaces for the communities they serve.

Rayvees Goh joins Uncommon Land Asia as Director, and Bartosz Majchrzycki as Senior Associate Director. Both Rayvees and Bartosz will be based in the Singapore Studio and will work closely with clients and projects across the APAC region. Simon Grimbley will continue to lead our EMEA studio from London.

With more than 20 years of experience in Asia, having lived in Hong Kong and Singapore, Rayvees is a multi-disciplinary landscape architect focused on creating sustainable, meaningful and people-focused designs. Rayvees’ versatile and holistic design approach contributed to many notable projects across a wide range of typologies that include landscape masterplans, commercial, mixed-use, public realms and hospitality developments. Key projects include Shangri-La at The Fort Manila, Shanghai International Finance Centre (IFC), HKRI Taikoo Hui Shanghai, Keangnam Hanoi Landmark72, Banyan Tree Yangshuo, Shangri-La Sanya Resort & Spa and the Le Meridien Shimei Bay Resort.

Originally from Poland, and having lived and worked in Europe, India, and Singapore, Bartosz is a qualified Landscape Architect and Chartered Member of Landscape Institute (CMLI) with extensive record in leading and supervising landscape projects from Concept till Construction. With over 14 years of professional experience, he has worked on a wide range of hospitality and mixed-use projects across Asia. Bartosz’s expertise consists of collaborations with hotel operators and clients to create exceptional and culturally sensitive experiences through landscape design. Some of his notable projects include hospitality developments with brands such as Ritz-Carlton, Six Senses, Alila, Marriott, Hyatt, Okada and Le Meridien. He also ked the main Landscape Consultant’s team for development of the Landscape Masterplan, Landscape Feasibility Study and Concept Design of the private island for Saudi Royal Family in the Red Sea area.
