The Road to Smart Cities in Vietnam 

Benoy recently co-hosted a special panel discussion event with JLL and American Chamber of Commerce in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. 

The panel discussion was centered around the topic of The Road to Smart Cities in Vietnam” with Design Director Gregory Kovacs representing Benoy and giving a voice to Smart Design. In 2016 Vietnam’s Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc approved a sustainable smart city development plan which aims to raise the quality of living for residents in Vietnam by creating four chains of smart cities centering on Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho.

During the engaging event, panelists examined three key topics; Smart Design, Smart Technology and Smart Planning. They looked at current infrastructure in Vietnam, urbanisation and also how a smart city model might impact its future connectivity.
