Carolyn joined Benoy in 2007 and was appointed to the post of Director in 2008.

Responsible for the Global Finance Team, Carolyn has been a part of the most successful chapter in the history of Benoy.

She has been instrumental in expanding the company internationally. Her advice on the establishment of Benoy’s network of overseas studios has allowed the company to trade successfully in key markets around the world.

David Coyne joined Benoy in 1982 and has been in the post of Director since 1988.

David was a driving force behind Benoy's move into Europe and currently oversees project teams working in both the UK and European markets.

He is the global lead for the Aviation and Transport Steering Groups within Benoy, extending the firm’s reach in these sectors. Specialising in enhancing new and existing, domestic and international airports through non-aviation revenue strategies, David is heavily involved in the growth of Benoy’s vibrant, and viable, ‘Airport city’ portfolio.

Passionate about creating great places, Barry believes that well-designed spaces, buildings and cities, encourage people to connect in real and meaningful ways. The delight that can be derived from a great place is the best remedy for technology induced isolationism.

Having joined Benoy in 2017 as Design Director, he leads the mixed-use design team working across a variety of building types and markets around the world. Believing firmly that technology is a critical part of designing better more sustainable buildings, Barry strives to maintain the requisite skills and expertise in the appropriate design software.

Jon joined Benoy in 2016 as a Global Creative Director.

With more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, Jon brings his specialist expertise in the Commercial and Education sectors; complementing Benoy’s push into these markets.

His prior projects have included refurbishment of the Imperial War Museum in London, the European Headquarters for Bloomberg in Central London and a number of education buildings including the Folkestone Academy and London Academy.

David joined Benoy in 1995 and became a Director in 2001. He is Head of Benoy’s London Studio.

David has exceptional knowledge of the Retail and Leisure sectors and has incorporated this expertise into his work on Town Centre Regeneration. His portfolio is broad and embraces the masterplanning of city quarters to the remodelling of existing retail developments.

David has led some of Benoy’s key projects in the UK and internationally, which include Val D’Europe Mall in Paris, Inorbit in Mumbai and the award-winning Design and Masterplanning of Woking Town Centre.

Mike joined Benoy in 1994 and became a Director in 2004.

Mike has delivered projects throughout the UK, Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Asia. This experience influences his work and allows him to present highly creative design solutions to a global client base.

Acknowledged across a number of services and sectors including Architecture, Masterplanning, Retail, Residential and Leisure, Mike’s work at Benoy includes the award-winning Bullring, Birmingham, The Cornerhouse, Nottingham, Viva, Odense and Nacka Forum, Stockholm.

Neil Kee joined Benoy in 2005 Benoy’s Newark office. Neil is currently located in the UAE office, having been appointed Director - Head of Design Studio Dubai in August 2017, joining from Benoy’s Singapore office.

Neil has worked in multiple Benoy Studios across the world during his 12 years with the company, and his international portfolio features a range of experience in the retail, commercial, residential and aviation sectors. His expertise is in understanding the individuals who use the buildings, ultimately helping him in creating places for people.

Qin joined Benoy in 2006 and became a Director in 2014. He is the Head of Shanghai Studio.

Qin has over 20 years' experience working on a series of major projects around the world, ranging from city centre mixed-use schemes to museums, retail and commercial developments.

Qin has worked in Benoy's Newark and Shanghai Studios. He is currently the lead designer of the Qiantan Office Park scheme in Shanghai which was shortlisted at the prestigious World Architecture Festival Awards in 2014.

Terence joined Benoy in 2014 and was appointed to the role of Director in 2016. He is the Head of Singapore Studio.

Having studied and practiced in Singapore, China and London, Terence has a diverse portfolio which includes projects across Southeast Asia and Europe.

Skilled at delivering a range of projects from large-scale, mixed-use developments to individual residences, Terence has valuable insight across multiple sectors.

Terence is currently involved in the delivery of the high-profile Jewel Changi Airport development in Singapore.

Robert joined Benoy in 2003 and became a Director in 2016.

Robert has worked as an Architect and Masterplanner on numerous international projects. He has experience in a wide range of sectors including Leisure, Retail, Residential, Commercial and Mixed-use.

In the UK, he has been involved in a variety of city centre projects which include Union Square in Swindon, The Round in Telford and the Masterplan for Manchester City Centre.

Darren joined Benoy in 2017 as Regional Operations Director for the Asia-Pacific region.

Overseeing the operational objectives of the firm in Asia, Darren is based in Hong Kong and also works across the Shanghai and Singapore Studios.

Darren combines his expertise as a trained Architect with almost 20 years’ experience in senior management roles.

With specialist expertise in the delivery of tall buildings and large-scale iconic developments, his portfolio includes the Kowloon Station Development in Hong Kong, Loncin Tower in Chongqing, Vincom Landmark 81 in Ho Chi Minh City and the Home Office and Regents Place in London.

John Dawes

John joined Benoy in 1997 and became Benoy’s youngest Director in 2007.

John has been involved with the design and development of projects across key markets including the UK and Europe, Africa, the Middle East, India and Asia.
His creativity effectively combines with
an astute cultural awareness.

John has worked on several landmark schemes including the internationally acclaimed Elements Mall in Hong Kong, the mixed-use, high-rise development Supernova in India and the beachside
Del Mare Residences in Cyprus.

Craig joined Benoy in 2004 and was appointed to the post of Director in 2014.

Whilst commercially aware, Craig strives to provide highly creative design solutions. He has global experience in the Entertainment, Retail and Leisure sectors and his expertise spans from Interior Architecture and Design through to Strategic Planning and Signage.

Craig has worked on some of Benoy's most significant projects, which include Elements Mall in Hong Kong and The Promenade at Galaxy Macau. Currently
he is involved in the delivery of Changi Airport’s Terminal 4 and Jewel projects
in Singapore.

Jamie joined Benoy in 2015 to bolster the firm’s growing residential offer. He was appointed to the role of Director in 2016.

He brings almost 20 years in international practice, designing mixed-use projects, private accommodation and retail destinations across Asia, the Middle East and the UK.

His residential experience ranges from London living to his most recent role in Hong Kong, where he developed an impressive portfolio of residential-led, mixed-use schemes.

With a strong focus across all stages of the development process, Jamie has a solid understanding of the London Design Guide as well as international investor conditions from both the Middle East and Asia.

Monika joined Benoy in 2017 as Director and is based in the London studio. With over 20 years' experience working across European and Middle Eastern markets, her expertise lie in leading and directing projects with large multidisciplinary teams; ensuring a smooth delivery from inception through to design, construction and completion.

Having started her career working for some of the world’s leading PR agencies, Laura is skilled in establishing and leading multidisciplinary teams to successfully deliver marketing and communications strategies globally.

Based in London, Laura has global responsibility for brand management across Benoy and Holmes Wood.

Simon joined Benoy in 2005 and became
a Director in 2014.

Simon has over 20 years of experience in the design of customer environments for Retail, Leisure and Corporate Brands in
the UK, the Middle East, Hong Kong and China.

Simon's project experience encompasses strategic planning and design for shopping centres, airports, financial services, fashion retailing, automotive retailing, exhibitions, offices and hospitality.

At Benoy, Simon has worked on a number of key projects including the Horizon Mall in Wuhan, Riverside 66 in Tianjin and Hong Kong's International Airport Enhancement.

Javier Artacho, Regional Operations Director

Javier joined Benoy in 2016 as Senior Associate Director and Project Manager. Promoted in 2017, he now holds the position of Regional Operations Director for Benoy's EMEA operation (Europe, Middle East and Africa).

As an architect, Javier has extensive experience on the design and construction of major iconic buildings and masterplans. His portfolio counts with several emblematic works in the UK, Spain and the Middle East.

He has also worked as project manager and operations director in humanitarian contexts, leading some major medical emergency interventions worldwide, mainly in Africa and Latin America.

Komal joined Benoy in 2007 and was made Divisional Director in 2014.

Komal has over fourteen years' international design experience spanning a vast range of projects including large scale, mixed-use and retail developments, multi-specialty hospitals and urban regeneration schemes in Europe, USA and India.

Simon joined Benoy’s London studio in 2004 after graduating from the University of Dundee.

Here he was responsible for a number of mixed-use, retail and town centre repositioning schemes. In 2011 Simon transferred to Benoy’s Hong Kong studio where he worked on a number of large mixed-use and hotel developments in Asia and Australia and was appointed Divisional Director in 2016.

Stephen joined Benoy in 1997 and became
a Divisional Director in 2008.

Stephen has vast experience of taking a diversity of projects from inception through to completion. He has extensive knowledge of retail projects of all size and complexity as well as mixed-use developments.

Stephen has worked on several of Benoy's high-profile developments, which include the landmark St. David’s Centre in Cardiff and the innovative redevelopment of the Bullring in Birmingham.

Michelle joined Benoy in 2003 and
a became Divisional Director in 2015.

Michelle has been instrumental in the continuing growth and development of
the Benoy Interior Design Team.

With an extensive international portfolio, Michelle has experience delivering projects across sectors such as Hospitality, Retail and Mixed-use.

Michelle has worked on a wide range of projects since joining Benoy including the refurbishment of the Chinese Embassy Residential Suites in London and the extension and renovation of Renoma, Poland.

Roland joined Benoy in 1997 and became
a Divisional Director in 2015.

Roland specialises in town centre urban regeneration schemes, many of which are retail driven.

His wide-ranging experience extends from the masterplanning of city quarters to the remodelling of existing retail developments.

Roland has worked on numerous projects at Benoy including the award-winning Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, the landmark retail scheme Westfield London and Ilac Shopping Centre in Dublin.

Joan Lord, Finance Director

Joan joined Benoy in 1988 and became a Director in 2011.

Joan has responsibility for the strategic financial direction of some of Benoy’s most significant regions including the UK and Europe, the Middle East and ‘Emerging Markets’.

She works closely with the Executive Board and the key Directors involved in leading and developing the business within these regions. As such, Joan has been vital
to the international growth and financial stability of Benoy.

Rhonda Lee, Finance Director

Rhonda joined Benoy as Finance Director in 2014.

Rhonda has a solid auditing background from her previous tenure at one of the Big Four accounting firms, as well as extensive experience in locally listed companies and multi-national organisations across the Asia Pacific region.

Based in Hong Kong, Rhonda provides financial leadership in managing the overall Finance function in Asia. She works closely with the management team to develop and implement business and financial strategies.

With over 20 years’ experience working across Asia and Europe, Liz brings an acute understanding of international recruitment to the Global HR Team.

Based in Hong Kong, Liz oversees the Human Resources functions for Benoy's expanding Asia Pacific studios.

Managing complex and fast-moving project teams across offices, Liz is integral to the professional development of teams and preserving the ‘One Benoy’ philosophy across the region.
