Utilising a prime waterfront location, Benoy was invited to create a mixed-use retail, leisure and food and beverage multiplex that seamlessly integrates into the surroundings. The vision was to design a refreshingly modern space, and it required masterplanning, architecture and motion graphics.
To blend in with the waterfront setting, we designed a low-rise development with a meandering pedestrian esplanade connecting to four plazas. We took a highly creative, playful approach to set the scene for this leisure destination.
The Beach is an iconic vista of Dubai’s waterfront, spanning 600m. It offers sustainable commercial opportunities with 68 new outdoor retail and restaurant units, a cinema and an entertainment zone. Consisting of a mix of shapes with straight lines and soft curves, and featuring coloured light arrangements, it has an enigmatic, contemporary appearance.
