New World China Land

A distinctive silhouette

Ningbo is one of China’s oldest and most historic cities and is destined to have a new landmark. Covering approximately 800,000m2, Ningbo New World is a project of massive undertaking and the modern scheme will feature an impressive and considerate combination of mixed-use development and open spaces.

The incredible 107,000m2 K11 Art Mall is set to make Ningbo New World a retail icon. The masterplan will also introduce a new addition to the already distinctive silhouette of the city; a 250m mixed-use tower featuring a 6-Star Rosewood Hotel and super Grade A office towers, a 120m convertible office tower, two creative office towers, and eight residential complexes complete with leisure retail at the podium level.

Ningbo was on the famous Silk Road and Benoy’s design pays homage to the city’s rich heritage. A busy port, rivers run through the entire region carving curvilinear patterns into the landscape. This concept of fluid connectivity formed the basis of the creative design scheme.

Ningbo New World is targeting LEED Gold certification by employing environmentally aware strategies concerning the site design, water conservation and renewable energy sources.
