Revitalising a regional hub
Mandurah Forum is located in Western Australia’s second largest city and will be one of the state’s largest regional shopping centres once the revitalisation is complete. Benoy is the Concept Interior Designer collaborating with local practice and Project Architect Hames Sharley. Benoy’s Teams are delivering their design expertise to the malls and public areas.
The upgrade will transform Mandurah Forum into a major regional retail destination and introduce new spaces for Food and Beverage, fresh markets and ‘Pop-up’ retail.
The 30-year-old shopping centre will double in size during the work, expanding its retail floor space with an additional 26,200m2 and will include two department stores, more than 220 new stores, and introduce a partially externalised area.
The development’s concept design has drawn inspiration from the geography of the surrounding Mandurah area and the relaxed coastal lifestyle; celebrating the city’s location with the seaside to the West and hills to the East. The concept will help to create a different character for each of the zones and
provide a balanced retail experience.
