An all-new high-end resort for Sanya

This CITS development is located in the new resort area of Haitang Bay in Sanya. Rising as a high-end tourism destination, the area attracts visitors from around the world as a result of its world-class yachting community, international luxury hotel cluster and unspoiled natural assets.

CITS Sanya Eyot Hainan is a 32,000m2 retail-led scheme being developed on a small island within the one the area’s waterways. Different from the traditional retail projects in Sanya, the masterplan has prescribed strategies for celebrating the natural landscape, space making and multi-layered environments, to bring a new concept to the area.

Feature-packed leisure experience

Offering new thinking to retail, entertainment, culture and art experiences, Benoy’s masterplan has accommodated a number of vibrant spaces offset by quieter zones and with different programs to appeal to a large visitor base.

Benoy’s design will feature a combination of indoor and outdoor spaces which will host a multitude of features including; art, water shows, cultural performances, recreation, wellness, kids zones and a wedding chapel.

Symbolic architecture

The architectural form of the scheme has taken inspiration from Sanya’s local fauna, the Egretta Garzetta bird. The sweeping design is eye-catching and complements the organic lines of the landscape. Bringing human-scale to the development, a number of blocks and pavilions have been designed along the waterfront edge. With a variety of forms and facade designs, they add to interest and diversity to the visitor experience.
