Benoy is pleased to announce another accolade for Parc Central, having received the 2017 Merit Award for ‘Professional Categories – Commercial (Shopping)’ at the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) Cross-Strait Architectural Design Awards (CADA) on 17 June in Hong Kong.

Celebrated as one of Benoy’s biggest openings in 2016, Parc Central stands as a green ‘Stadium for retail’ in the heart of Guangzhou’s new Central Business District. Benoy’s Team delivered the Masterplan, Architecture and Interior Design for the development, seen as a new landmark for the Pearl River Delta city.

Benoy is delighted to receive this recognition from the HKIA for Parc Central, which has been recognised by a number of industry programmes including the International Council of Shopping Centers China Awards, China Property Awards, A&D Trophy Awards and MIPIM Asia Awards.

The HKIA CADA Programme aims to recognise the convergence of culture, social responsibility and ecological sensitivity while working creatively in the face of diminishing resources in Cross-Strait architecture.

It was also a special night for Gabriel Wang from the Hong Kong Studio, who won the CADA Trophy Design competition and whose design was used to celebrate CADA 2017 winners. Gabriel’s bamboo-inspired design focuses on the unique element that unites the Cross-Strait.
