Benoy is excited to mark its appointment to work with Zhenro Group with a signing ceremony that took place on Tuesday 16th May, 2017 at the British Centre, Shanghai. Celebrating a mixed-use development in Nanjing, the capital of China’s eastern Jiangsu province, the signing ceremony was witnessed by British Ambassador to China, Barbara Woodward.
"I am pleased to see Benoy bringing British design to the banks of the Yangtze, and continuing to deliver major projects here in East China. I wish them every success in the future,” said British Ambassador to China, Dame Barbara Woodward DCMG OBE.
The project aims to create an international community where high-end retail, culture, leisure and entertainment sectors come together to offer a truly dynamic hub. Additionally, the project will feature almost 100,000 m2 of office space, and 60,000m2 of SOHO serviced apartments. Together with the Sustainable Exhibition Center, the development comes to a total of over 200,000 m2.
“After completing the masterplanning design competition, Benoy is delighted to be appointed to work with Zhenro Group on this exciting new development in Nanjing,” said Stephen Chow, Director, Benoy.
This new development fortifies the strong UK-China business relationship. China continues to be a vibrant market for Benoy as the company builds on the success of significant developments including Gala Avenue Westside, Ningbo New World, CITS Sanya Eyot, Lujiazui Pudong Qiantan and Joy City Hangzhou, further bolstering relations in the East.
