Benoy’s Chengdu IFS Wins Grand Award at QBA 2016

Benoy is excited to announce that Chengdu International Finance Square (IFS) has won a Grand Award at the Quality Building Awards (QBA) 2016 in Hong Kong.

Chengdu IFS was honoured with the top award within the ‘Best Building Outside Hong Kong (Non-Residential)’ category by the QBA jury. The winners were revealed at a ceremony on 24 June at the JW Marriott Hotel.

The QBA programme is hosted biennially and gives public recognition to buildings with outstanding quality and that have demonstrated excellent teamwork. The awards aim to promote a collective commitment by the building industry to maintain the highest standard of professionalism and competitiveness.

“The competition level and overall quality of nominations were terrific this year,” said QBA 2016 Jury Panel Chairman, Sr HUI Siu Wai, JP. “The entries demonstrated an incredible level of dedication, planning, teamwork and execution that goes into these projects.”

Chengdu IFS is Benoy’s landmark development in western China. The Quality Building Awards were established in 2001 and are jointly organised by nine building and construction related professional organisations in Hong Kong.This is the second win for Benoy within the QBA programme, following ION Orchard’s win in the same category in 2010.
