Benoy is delighted to announce that two of its projects have been recognised at the 2016 Real Estate Design (REDesign) China Awards. The winners were announced at a gala dinner in Shanghai on 30 March, following live presentations to the juries during the day. Benoy’s Chengdu International Finance Square (IFS) won the Gold Award for ‘Commercial Projects’ and LOTTE WORLD MALL, Seoul received the Merit Award for ‘Interior Design’.
Chengdu IFS is Benoy’s landmark development in western China. Conceived as a ‘City within a city’, the 760,000m2 integrated development is a world-class, one-stop destination uniting Retail, Dining, Business, Leisure, Entertainment, Culture and Art. The 210,000m2 flagship retail podium is flanked by two premium Grade-A office towers, a 5-Star hotel and high-end residential properties; delivering an innovative mixed-use scheme to the centre of the city.
In Seoul, LOTTE WORLD MALL has been welcomed a high-profile retail destination within South Korea’s thriving capital. Benoy’s Interior Design for the 200,000m2 podium captured the significance of the development, introducing innovative and interactive features not yet seen on the same scale in the country. The retail development integrates seamlessly with a high-end department store, entertainment tower and world-class concert hall to create an exciting shopping and leisure destination.
Started in China in 2014, the REDesign Awards have since expanded to reward developments, consultants, architects and designers around the world. The professional Selection Committee of the awards consists of adjudicators from the academic field, real estate industry and the media.
This is the second consecutive year Benoy’s projects have been recognised by the REDesign China Award programme.
