Benoy is delighted to announce that three of its projects have been recognised at the 2015 READesign China Awards. A total of ten Gold Awards were presented at a gala dinner in Shanghai on 29 March, after a live presentation to the juries in the daytime. Benoy’s iAPM in Shanghai and Hysan Place, Hong Kong each collected a Gold Award for the “Completed Shopping Centre” and “Green / Energy-saving” categories respectively. Qian Tan Office Park was shortlisted in the “Future Office” category.
Hysan Place is the first LEED Platinum certified shopping centre and development in Greater China; a vertical mall spanning 17 levels which has established itself as the retail landmark of the bustling Causeway Bay shopping district. Central skylights, a fourth floor Sky Garden and a careful selection of materials including a state-of-the-art ventilation system, water saving devices, low energy fixtures and recycled materials featuring two-hundred-year-old teak are highlights of its environmental design.
iAPM is an integrated part of the Shanghai ICC mixed-use scheme, which includes two Grade A international office towers and luxury residential tower. The integration extends below ground to the major, three-line metro interchange station directly under the site to promote connectivity and a greener future for the Shanghai community. Benoy was appointed the full scope of Masterplanning, Architecture, Retail Interior Design, Graphics and Wayfinding system for the Shanghai ICC scheme.
Started in China in 2014, the READesign Awards have since expanded to reward developments, consultants, architects and designers around the world. This year’s awards have successfully attracted over 200,000 votes via the Internet and WeChat.
