Benoy, the international, award-winning firm of Architects, Masterplanners, Interior and Graphic Designers, has announced a number of exciting new projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA); most recent of which is Riyadh Park.
Building upon its recent successes and continuing to enhance its presence across the Middle East, Benoy has been appointed by Asala Holdings as the chief Design Architect for Riyadh Park, a new luxury retail and leisure development in the Saudi capital of Riyadh. For the global design brand, this announcement marks the start of an ongoing partnership with this premier developer.
Incorporating an innovative, external ‘Retail boulevard’, Riyadh Park is destined to become one of the Saudi capital’s most celebrated, high-end shopping and entertainment destinations. Drawing upon international design influences as well as rich, local cultural references, the aim is to create a truly exciting shopping experience.
Riyadh Park will feature a luxury fashion zone showcasing global and local retail brands alongside an entertainment and leisure component. The interior landscaping will continue an al fresco theme and create a sense of serene sophistication within the mall, and there will be a host of appealing cafés and ‘Boutique’ restaurants. Terraces with outdoor food and beverage kiosks will continue the gastronomic offer and ensure that the open spaces can be enjoyed throughout the year, even in the cooler months. VIP Valet services and parking capacity for over 2,000 cars will provide the utmost convenience for all visitors.
Commenting on the appointment, Paul Priest, Benoy Director and Head of MENA said, “We are looking forward to working closely with our client, Asala Holdings, to deliver a state-of-the-art yet ultimately sustainable development which will offer a compelling combination of retail and leisure.”
“We believe that KSA represents a market with the vision to realise world-class architecture within its cities and as such is an exciting and inspiring environment for Benoy,” Paul continued.
Fouad Al Rashed, CEO of Asala Holdings, spoke about working with Benoy on this project, “It’s a pleasure working with Benoy side-by-side, working together to create a good and precise outcome for our mall, Riyadh Park. This will be one of the trendiest and absolutely spectacular malls in the region.”
He expanded on his company’s aim for their developments, “We strive to upgrade the shopping experience through our commitment to our tenants to own and efficiently operate smartly designed shopping properties which deliver superior services to shoppers in order to maximize footfall. We aspire to be the market-leading developer and investor. Whilst our emphasis is on the Saudi market, MENA opportunities will be explored and pursued.”
With an estimated value in excess of SR500 million, the much anticipated mall is expected to open its doors end of 2016.
In addition to Riyadh Park, Benoy has been appointed by Asala Holdings to commence work on other ground-breaking projects such as Panorama Mall, also in Riyadh.
Working with several of the key developers in KSA, Benoy is enjoying its new, regional success and has been appointed on a number of exciting mixed-use projects throughout the country.
