Benoy, the international, award-winning firm of Architects, Masterplanners, Interior and Graphic Designers, is proud to announce its appointment to the Battersea Power Station renovation and regeneration project. This icon is being brought back to retain its importance in the London skyline.
Battersea has been a landmark on the south bank of the River Thames for decades and is finally receiving its long overdue regeneration into a world-class masterplan of Retail, Residential, Commercial and more.
The firm is thrilled to be collaborating with S P Setia, Sime Darby, Employees’ Provident Fund and Battersea Power Station Development Company, the site’s developer, on this exciting London scheme with various roles throughout the design process. As the Retail Advisor on Phase 2, which is the Power Station itself, and Phase 3, a substantial residential project with retail provisions on the lower levels, Benoy will provide its renowned expertise to ensure Battersea’s substantial retail provision.
Benoy also has a major coordination role for the masterplan where the company is ensuring that all the various Phases work as one integrated development as well as a further significant role in the basement levels to ensure that the needs of the finished development are fully catered for.
Divisional Director Andrew Maryniak described the Battersea development “as an exciting challenge in trying to coordinate the various interfaces between the many phases which are continually evolving in design terms”.
As global leaders in Retail, Benoy has also been appointed to this role to assist Battersea in driving further economic investment to the area by bringing retailers, residents and visitors from across the world in this next-generation design.
